日本のニュース (News in Japan)
A great way to study Japanese is by watching, listening to or reading ニュース, the news. The news helps you learn important vocabulary and improves your listening and comprehension. So, the more you practice, the better your comprehension will become. When you first start studying with the news, don’t try to understand everything that’s being said, just take in whatever you can pick out and try to get the gist of what they’re saying. Whenever you’re able to pick out a new word or phrase, write it down. This will help you remember it the next time you hear it. Listening to the news on the radio or a news podcast is another option. In an audio format, broadcasters tend to talk more slowly and clearly. If you’re not particularly interested in the news, choose a specific field of the news that interests you; entertainment, sports, nature, etc. Another advantage of studying Japanese by watching the new is that you can know what's actually going on in Japan, BUT no fear. I won't just bore you with the news. I will also add a couple of Japanese TV Shows such as
YOUは何しに日本へ?and movies!
[NOTE: It is actually quite hard to find Japanese news in full length videos, but I will definitely try my hardest find them for you, but in the mean time you can get all of your news from http://www.fnn-news.com/ or for beginners http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/
